UNEXPECTED 2025

BFH1650® brought together individuals across disciplines — from artists and culinary creators to curators and thinkers — to build something purposeful and alive... to be continued.

· INHERENT - a photographic series by Alice Nordio and Stefan Armbruster, a creative duo with a shared interest in perception and aesthetic language. Their visions reflect their individual experiences in the worlds of art and fashion. Both perspectives are brought into play for Linck Ceramics, expressed with their own visual freedom.

· FINDING GROUND –before the world wakes, in the stillness of water and first light, we return to ourselves. A series of intimate portraits—people immersed in water before sunrise, caught in a moment of quiet reflection. Born out of personal necessity, this project emerged during a period of deep introspection. It’s about reconnecting—with self, with others, and with something elemental by Thomas Hoeffgen.

STONE ROSES - create a plant by using materials and objects from a walk throughout the forest with Sarah Illenberger.

· THE SPACE BETWEEN – a sensory installation by Stefan Armbruster in collaboration with Peace in the wild. The Space Between invites visitors into a state of stillness and presence. Photography, moving image, sound, and scent come together in a meditative experience.

· IN SITU – a mobile conversation format by writer and curator Tanja Heuchele . Set within the installations themselves, in situ invites participating artists into brief, focused dialogues on process, perception, and practice. Open to the audience, yet informal in tone, the format offers a direct and situated exchange beyond the traditional panel.

UNFOLD – a culinary expression with the Michelin Star Chef Chris Kaiser, Jacobi Freiburg.
